Spring Fair

What an amazing Spring Fair !  Thank you to everyone who helped make it a truly memorable and outstanding event.  Although our school’s primary purpose is to help the children learn as much as they possibly can, it is events like the Spring Fair that the children will remember well into their adult life.  Each year our organizing group reflect on the previous year’s Fair and make some changes to engage more children.  Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends who volunteered time to help run one of the activities.  We simply can’t operate the Fair without this level of support.  The happy and smiling faces of so many children told its own story.  We are still busily adding up the figures and finalizing our accounts.  We should be in a position to let you know the final fundraising total in next week’s assembly on Monday morning and Link on Tuesday.

Green Thumbs

This week, Green thumbs have had a very busy week! We have created scrap paper boxes to help re-use single sided paper for “scrap paper” use. We also would like to announce the Terracycle Bins are now located in the Prep toilet entrance of the building.  Anyone is welcome to put their EMPTY showering, toothpaste and toothbrush products in these bins! Together, we can help save the environment! Thank you, from the Green Thumb Leaders.

Bike Ed

Just a friendly reminder that the year 4 students have bike ed this Friday, 9:00-10:40. If there is any parent volunteers that have Working with Children’s Check that would like to help on the day it would be most welcomed.

Thank you Landcare!

DPS would like to thank Landcare for generously supporting our school gardening this year with a $1000 grant. This money has been used to start an Indigenous outdoor garden at the front of our school, with lots of beautiful native trees added, natural seating and mulch too. Many thanks Landcare for supporting our school, it is greatly appreciated!

Camp Australia

At Drysdale Primary School OSHC we have been very busy. We are working on implementing new activities focused on getting the older students attending the service more engaged in the program by giving them more control in the program. Popular activities on the program for last week included the Perler beads, downball, monopoly games, basketball, making stress balls, and talking about Remembrance day.
