Drysdale Primary School

Drysdale Primary School Community Market

The Drysdale market, which has been run for nearly forty years by members of the school community starts its new season this Sunday, October 21st.  The market runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and is held at the Drysdale Recreation Reserve.  We are very fortunate to have a dedicated co-ordinator, Bre Gage, and a new team of helpers drawn from our parents and school councillors.  I would encourage everyone to come down and support the market which is one of the school’s main fundraising efforts of the year.  The money raised from this event helps to pay for the additional welfare support for the children through the Inclusion Team led by Blanche Denmead.  This makes such a big difference to the children’s happiness at school.

Spring Fair

Flower Shower
The fantastic Flower Shower is happening at Spring Fair again this year.  We have booked the cherry picker and numbered the flowers.  We have received very generous donations from JT Dixon Packaging and Kemellies Timber Flooring. Now you have the chance to win one of three fabulous prizes – 1st prize $500, 2nd prize $300, 3rd prize $200, wouldn’t that come in handy for the summer holidays? Numbered flowers are available for sale at the office from this week, $5 per flower purchased before the Fair and $10 purchased at the Fair.  So buy them now and cross your fingers that yours is the closest to the target when the flowers are dropped from the cherry picker at the Fair on Friday 16 November.

Lucky Cups
Another popular item returning for 2018 are the Lucky Cups. We will be having a casual dress day on Friday 26 October. We ask that instead of a gold coin donation you send a small item that we can use for the Lucky cups this year.  Items such as stationary, hair ties, down balls, novelty items, lip gloss, slime, small figurines are all great.  A bag and note will come home this week and we ask for this be returned  with your child on Friday 26 October.

Request for hay bales!
Do you have any hay bales at home or on your farm that the school could borrow for seating at the Spring Fair this year? We would love to borrow some rectangular hay/straw bales to act as natural seating at Spring Fair. If you think you can assist please get in touch with the front office on 5251 2272.
