Drysdale Primary School

Welcome Back to Term 2

I hope that everyone had a positive holiday and has come back to school refreshed and ready for some great learning. As staff we are keen to build on the excellent start made last term and help everyone to ‘Accept the Challenge’ to be the best they can be. I would like to welcome Chris O’Brien to Drysdale Primary. Chris has taken over from Tamara Rogers while Joanne Black continues her secondment as Acting Principal at Oberon South Primary School. Brooke Smith has now become Brooke Burgess following her wedding during the holidays. Congratulations to Brooke and Pete!

Fresh Fruit Friday

Each week we request parent volunteers from a year level to help cut up fresh fruit and distribute it to classes. If you have time to spare on a Friday morning we would love your help, regardless of what year level your child is in. Younger siblings are more than welcome to join you and play with the toys as long as they remain supervised. Please sign in at the office and make your way to the staff room from 9am.

This Friday, 20th April, we are asking for parent volunteers of Year 5 students to help cut up fruit.

Thank you to the Bendigo Bank for sponsoring our school’s fresh fruit.

Camp Australia

Welcome back to Drysdale Primary School for Term 2. We hope you all had a great set of holidays, and are all refreshed and ready for another term.
Parents, just a reminder after the holiday break to be aware that there has been a change to the bookings structure at Camp Australia. This may result in a change in the amount you are paying to use the service, If you have any questions go to https://www.campaustralia.com.au/flexibility or call 1300 105 343. The most notable change is the additional fees you will be charged if your child;
  • Does not attend the service on a day when they were booked in without being cancelled through the Camp Australia head office. (cancellations made through us at the service do not count in terms of this.)
  • Does attend the service on a day when they are not booked in through the Camp Autralia Head Office (bookings and cancellations made through us at the service do not count in terms of this)
  • Was booked in late through Head Office (less than 48 hours prior to sessions (if you have a Gold level membership this will not apply.
Depending on your membership level these fees range from between $10 to $20 per child per session. If you need to pick up your child from school on a day when they are booked in we STRONGLY advise that you walk them to OSHC, we will sign them in, you can sign them out, and you can continue on, as by doing this you will avoid paying these excess fees. There are flyers available at OSHC with more information.
