Prep Playground

Over the holidays the magnificent new Prep playground was installed. I know that many generations of Prep children will use and love this equipment. The cost of the playground and the installation was in excess of $60,000 entirely paid for with donations and fund raising. On behalf of the school I would like to thank the school’s Parents and Friends Group, our School Council and the Spring Fair Committee who have co-ordinated the fund raising. In this we have also been generously supported by the Bendigo Bank with a $5,000 community grant. We are extremely fortunate to have such dedicated people providing amazing support to the school and a wonderful parent community willing to support the events they have organised. This is a tremendous effort that makes a huge difference to the children’s well being and happiness.

Drysdale Market this Sunday 15th October

The Drysdale Market returns this Sunday at the Drysdale Recreation Reserve next to the Football and Netball clubs.

The Drysdale Market is organised and run by the Drysdale Primary School Council as a fundraising event for the school on the third Sunday of each month from October to May inclusive.

The school has been running this for the last 35 years. I would strongly encourage everyone to support the market which is a great local event.

Canteen Summer Menu

The new Summer Canteen Menu is now available and went home today, please also refer below. The canteen is now open daily from 8.30am to 3.45pm for coffee, smoothies and snacks. Online ordering closes at 9.15 each morning and can be placed at ouronlinecanteen.com.au

Fresh Fruit Friday – Parent Volunteers From Prep

Even though we request parent volunteers from a year level each week, if you have time to spare on a Friday morning we would love your help. We have a couple of parents who volunteer every Friday that would love some help.

This Friday, 13th October, we are asking for parent volunteers of Prep students to help cut up fruit. If you can assist, please sign in at the office and come to the staff room at 9am.

Welcome back to OSHC at Drysdale Primary School for Term 4 2017. The year has just seemed to fly by this year, hasn’t it? We hope the students, parents, family, teachers and everyone else in the Drysdale Primary School community have had an enjoyable and safe holidays.
