Term 3 Working Bee

Last Sunday we had our Term 3 Working Bee which was brilliantly supported by parents, staff and children. The focus of the work was to start the new sensory garden and to remodel the Year 6 office.  Everyone who has seen the sensory garden has been amazed at how much was achieved in such a short time. This is going to be a wonderful feature of the school for many years. I would like to thank the School’s Assistant Principals, Blanche Denmead and Felicity Stark for organising this Working Bee. I would also like to thank everyone who attended the event: Ashley Denmead, Jess Fatone, Amy Wright, Paul & Tara van Winckel, Aimee & Clint Fear, Amanda Burns, Miranda Williams, Renee & Jackson Stokes, Mandy Stokes, Roxy Stokes, Tracy Van Der Wel, Tammy Burke, Dani MacDonald, Simone Elsworth, Emily Baker, Sally Edgerton & Travis Nicholls, Kate Lockhart & Justin Lockhart.

Spring Fair Colouring Competition

Congratulations to Levi from Year 1 and Tenaiya from Year 6 who won the Spring Fair Colouring Competition. Their bunting colouring really impressed our judge, Mrs. Henderson, who felt that both bunting pieces used colour very effectively and took a lot of time and care with the presentation. Both Levi and Tenaiya received a prize pack from Office Max which had lots of great stationary and art supplies. Many thanks to Office Max for supporting our Spring Fair with these prizes. We would also like to thank all students for entering the competition and completing a piece of bunting. You will be able to see all entries on display at the Spring Fair.

Fresh Fruit Friday – Parents Volunteers From Year 1

Even though we request parent volunteers from a year level each week, if you have time to spare on a Friday morning we would love your help. We have a couple of parents who volunteer every Friday that would love some help.

This Friday, 15th September, we are asking for parent volunteers of Year 1 students to help cut up fruit. If you can assist, please sign in at the office and come to the staff room at 9am.

Thank you to the Bendigo Bank for sponsoring our school’s fresh fruit.

Camp Australia

Please be advised that after school care will be relocated next week for EVERY DAY EXCEPT FRIDAY due to school concert. We will be located in THE NEW GRADE 6 AREA (where the library used to be/where the first lot of building works were located/next to 3B). Children will meet with educators on the ramp leading up to the hall. Weather permitting we will spend some time on the playground equipment, before having snack in the Quiet Area, and then moving inside. THIS RELOCATION DOES NOT IMPACT BEFORE SCHOOL CARE, which will be in the normal location off the hall. We apologise for any inconvenience.
