On Monday and Wednesday last week, Year 2 students ventured outdoors to investigate the historical buildings within central Drysdale. The students learnt about how buildings and their purposes change over time. Pam from the local Historical Society did a marvellous job informing the staff and students about our local community, linking directly to our class topic.

Our famous Drysdale Concert season is about to commence with performances on Wednesday September 20th and Thursday September 21st.
On the Wednesday Prep, Years 2 & 4 will be performing and on the Thursday Years 1, 3 & 5 will be performing. Our Year 6 students will perform their production on both nights. More information will be posted in the Link next week.

Our Term 3 Parent Teacher Interviews are scheduled for Monday 11th September 3.45–5.05pm and Tuesday 12th September 3.45–6.45pm.
This is an important part of our reporting processes through which we formally let you know how well your children are doing in school.
The booking system opens Friday 18th August, at 9am. The ‘parent portal’ can be accessed by clicking here. The portal will close Friday 8th September at 5.00pm.
Parent teacher interviews take place in Terms 1 and 3 with written reports in Terms 2 and 4. This is a great chance to find out how you child is doing and what they will be working on next in their learning. It is also a great opportunity to raise any concerns you might have. We are looking forward to meeting up with everyone over those evenings.
New families to the school should have now received a letter home with details on how to register to access our parent portal.

Even though we request parent volunteers from each year level each week, if you have time to spare on a Friday morning we would love your help. We have a couple of parents who volunteer every Friday that would love some help.
This Friday, 18th August, we are asking for parent volunteers of Year 4 students to help cut up fruit. If you can assist, please sign in at the office and come to the staff room at 9am.
