Building Works – Changes to the positioning of the Prep and Year 6 classrooms in 2017

The extension of the library area to become a Senior Learning Area, the replacement of the Prep classrooms and the refurbishment of the senior classrooms will mean there needs to be some changes to the current classroom structure.

We have worked hard to keep movement to a minimum so that there is as much continuity as possible for the children.

Prep Playground

The replacement of the Prep playground will happen at the same time as the new Prep classrooms are built.

We expect that the new playground will be available for use from the beginning of Term 4.

The current Prep playground will not be removed until the new playground is ready and available for use.

Planning for 2019

At this stage of the year we are busy planning for next year.  In particular we are working out how many classes we can run in each year group.  If you know of families who are hoping to enroll their children here for 2019 but have not yet completed an enrolment form, please can you let us know and encourage them to send through the paperwork. Similarly if you are moving away from Drysdale have not already let us know, please can you do so as soon as possible. A really important reason for knowing this right now is that this week we will be asking students to nominate five peers they have a positive learning relationship with so that we can start working on our 2019 class structures.
